My main goal was to design and edit a print book with all its components. This book was designed and printed for SVA's MFA, Products of Design department, during Benjamin Critton's Graphic Design class.
Using birds as symbols of New York residents, this book describes characteristics of cultures from various boroughs and neighborhoods of NYC.
Each pigeon is named respectively to its unique location, on the same page under the pigeon picture there is a description of the bird's neighborhood. The page that follows this description has a stereotypical motto that goes with the attitude of the pigeon.
Bird watch N.Y.C. is more than a satire about birds in the city. It's a reminder for creatives and people in general, that if the world you want does not exist then to go ahead and invent it for yourself.
